It's been a while.

The big news of the past month is that I published a book! Generous Frugality is about an alternative approach to money based on the ideas that wealth should be measured by how much we give away and that we can be frugal so that we can be generous. I've dreamed of being a writer and even though this is a small (homemade) nod toward that, I still think it's pretty cool. You can read about it and order a copy on my Resources page.

I'm still living in my beautifully chaotic intentional community. The connection I experience with the land has deepened and this spring I surprisingly felt confident about what I was doing in the garden. And then I read another gardening book and realised how much I don't know.

Life feels both hard and delightful in waves. I've been grieving racial violence, climate crisis and ongoing colonisation. I've also been so excited about the garden that I can't sleep and simply want it to be morning so I can get back outside. Home continues to feel far away and illusive. At the same time, people in my community are gradually becoming family. Most of the time I have no idea what I'm doing with my life but once in a while I wonder if maybe I'm living the life I've always wanted.
