who are you following?

As I've travelled the country trying to learn about farming, I've encountered a myriad of ideas and opinions - often contrary to one another. People are firm in their beliefs that what they think and practice is the right way and they can be critical of other approaches.

So, who should I learn from and follow?

In my faith, it's a similar story. Yes, people are trying to follow Jesus, but what that looks like and what they emphasize can be completely different. And, of course, we're heavily influenced by our backgrounds, worldviews and lived experiences.

I've got no answers and precious few ideas on this question. All I can think to do is to continue to listen to people with an open and critical mind, read as much as I can and to try things out in time. The proof, afterall, is in the fruit that grows out of our practices and our lives - both physically and spiritually.
